Effective May 1, 2016, Updated Jan 23, 2023, the Lucas County Coroner's Office will require ALL funeral homes to submit a release form signed by the decedent's next of kin before removal from the office. The release may be faxed before pick-up to (419) 213-3949, or brought to the office at the time of transfer. If there is a problem obtaining the signature of a family member, please contact the office at (419) 213-3900.
