Five-year-old Anjuan M. Hare III

Five-year-old Anjuan M. Hare III from Hilltop Boulevard, Toledo was pronounced dead at the Toledo Hospital ER at 7:49pm on September 19, 2019.

His care taker originally told investigators he had suffered a fall while jumping from a box spring mattress laying on its side onto a carpeted floor. The child was not taken to the hospital until the following day.

Autopsy results show multiple traumatic blunt force injuries causing the death now. There is evidence of Battered Child Syndrome indicating there is repetitive abuse and older healing injuries. The death is ruled as a homicide.
