TOLEDO, OH – Starting Wednesday, August 5, 2015, the Toledo Farmers’ Market will be selling local produce in the parking lot of the Lucas County Job and Family Services. The market will be open August 5th, September 16th and October 14th from 11:00am until 1:00pm.
Vendors from around the region will be selling fresh fruits and vegetables. Shoppers can use cash, credit or SNAP dollars to purchase produce. Shoppers using SNAP can also utilize the Double Up Food Bucks Program, which matches dollar for dollar up to $20 for local produce. The Double Up Food Bucks Program connects low income citizens with fresh fruits and vegetables. The Farmers’ Market at JFS is open to the public.
