Lucas County Solid Waste Management District to Host Tire & Latex Paint Recycling Event

The Lucas County Solid Waste Management District will host a tire and latex paint recycling event on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the Waterville Public Works Building, 1215 Waterville-Monclova Rd., Waterville, OH.

Residents interested in recycling unwanted tires and/or latex paint may drop off items from 9:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. This recycling event is open to all Lucas County residents.

Some restrictions do apply. For tire recycling, up to ten (10) tires, on or off the rim, will be accepted free of charge. Tires from businesses, or over sized/tractor tires will not be accepted.

For paint recycling, a fee of $1.00 per container will be collected; cash or check only (made payable to ePaint Recycling, LLC). Only latex paint will be accepted.

The Lucas County Solid Waste Management District is hosting recycling events around Lucas County through spring of 2016. The next event will be Saturday, October 3, 2015 at the Sylvania Senior Center. This program is funded by a grant from the Ohio EPA.
