Lucas County Commissioners Announce Last Dates of Season for Toledo Farmers’ Market at JFS

TOLEDO, OH –The Board of Lucas County Commissioners is pleased to announce that there are two more opportunities for citizens to enjoy the Toledo Farmers’ Market at the Lucas County Job and Family Services (JFS) location before the end of the season.

The Farmers’ Market, which is located in the JFS parking lot at 3210 Monroe Street in Toledo, will sell its local produce—including fresh vegetables and fruit—to the public on Wednesday, September 16, 2015, and again on Wednesday, October 14, 2015. The Farmers’ Market is open from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. on both days.

Shoppers can use cash, credit, or SNAP dollars to make their purchases. Additionally, shoppers who use SNAP dollars may also utilize the Double Up Food Bucks Program, which matches dollar for dollar up to $20 for local produce. The Double Up Food Bucks Program connects low income citizens with fresh fruits and vegetables.

The Farmers’ Market at JFS is open to the public. All are welcomed and encouraged to attend.
