George D. Miller Handball Courts

The only outdoor handball courts in northwestern Ohio are located at the Lucas County Recreation Center. These courts have been the home of the National Three-Wall Handball Championship since 1975.

The three-wall, all-concrete structure has eight courts. They are available for tournaments of all kids, as well as to individuals.

Walking Trail

 Handball Courts
This 1.5 mile walking / biking / inline skating trail is open from dawn to dusk. The trail circles throughout the Recreation Centers' fields and grounds. The walking trail is available year round with weather permitting.

Other facilities included at the complex include:
  • Eight lane all-weather track
  • Two soccer fields (one lighted)
  • Six tennis courts
  • Six shuffleboard courts
  • Basketball courts
  • Volleyball courts
