Effective Monday, June 25, 2018, email addresses at Lucas County Children Services (LCCS) will be changing to a new format. The agency is moving from its existing email server to a statewide system maintained by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS).
The switch means that each of the 350 LCCS employees, including caseworkers, will have a new email address as of June 25. The domain within each email address will change. The legacy email addresses followed a Lucas County format appearing like this:
The new email addresses will, instead, look like this:
A list of LCCS employees with their old and new emails is available here and at the link below. Every effort is being made to notify clients, partner agencies, vendors, and others who do business with LCCS ahead of time. The public is being asked to note the changes among any LCCS staff members with whom they are in regular contact.
“The email changes are the first in a planned series of technology updates that LCCS is implementing to improve the agency's overall efficiency and effectiveness,” said Robin Reese, executive director of Lucas County Children Services. “We are embracing newer technology in order to help our employees to be more productive, and at the same time, achieve cost savings and increased security,” she added.
