Value Change Notices

Homeowners who have questions about their valuation can provide feedback to the auditor’s office and request a value adjustment. There are four easy options available to file a property review:

  1. Call our office at 419-213-4406 request a change in value over the phone.
  2. File online by clicking here
  3. You may attend a property review meeting to review information in-person with our staff. 
  4. If you do not want to request a change in value over the phone you may schedule an appointment in advance by calling 419-213-4406.

If you believe your information is correct, YOU DO NOT NEED TO DO ANYTHING.

 Follow the steps below to guide you through the feedback process:

  1. Check your data and value. You can do so by clicking here.
  2. Once value change notices are mailed to Homeowners over the summer, all records are available for public feedback to ensure its accuracy.
  3. The more accurate  data is for your home, the more accurate your valuation will be.
  4. Collect information that confirms data discrepancy.
  5. If after reviewing your notice,checking your data and value, you believe:
    1. Information about your property is incorrect;
    2. We missed something when your home was reviewed that might change your valuation;
    3. You could not sell your home for the current appraised value of the property.
  6. Homeowners are encouraged to collect information that confirms the data discrepancy and submit documentation.
  7. Provide feedback and report any physical changes, discrepancies, or concerns.
